The mission of Western's Sexual Health Promotion program is to educate and empower Western students to live sexually healthy lives.
The Peer Sexual Health Educators, a team of trained volunteers, assist Wellness Services staff to provide a variety of programs and services designed to help students experience their sexuality and sexual relationships in ways that are empowered, healthy, positive, and pleasurable.
Personalized Information Sessions
Peer Sexual Health Educators provide free, confidential information sessions for students interested in learning more about sex and sexual health. This service is provided in the Student Health Center, and more information can be found on our Sexual Health Information Session page.
Sexual Health Promotion staff and volunteers are available to provide presentations on a variety of sexual health topics and to participate in campus outreach events upon request. For more information or to request an outreach program, please submit a program request form.
The Peer Sexual Health Educators' "signature" programs are provided in each of the residence hall communities each year and are available to other student groups/clubs both on and off campus, upon request.
