National College Health Assessment at Western

Every two years, Western participates in the American College Health Association's National College Health Assessment, a nationally recognized research survey that collects data on college student health status, behaviors, and beliefs on a wide range of topics:

  • Alcohol, tobacco, and other drug use
  • Sexual health
  • Weight, nutrition, and exercise
  • Mental health
  • Personal safety and violence

The following Executive Summaries highlight the results from the 2014 and 2016 surveys, administered to a random sample of Western undergraduates ages 18 years and older and coordinated by Prevention and Wellness Services.
